Please join us for our webinar on "The Secure Act 2.0: How it affects distribution and wealth transfer planning for the modern retiree" presented by Kirsten Hale, Regional Vice President, and Rob Burns, with Equitable, noon to 1:00pm, on Wednesday, March 15th.
On December 29, 2022, the Secure 2.0 Act of 2022 was signed into law as part of the Consolidated Appropriations Act of 2023. This one-hour presentation will address the impact of the Secure Act 2.0 on trusts, IRA beneficiary planning, lifetime RMDs as well as non-qualified annuity distribution options and strategies. Several case studies covering various scenarios will be discussed.
Learning Objective(s):
At the end of this sessions, attendees will:
Understand the changes that occurred with the passage of the Secure Act 2.0 and the importance of reviewing clients’ legal and investment documentation with regard to beneficiary designations and distribution options going forward under the new rules.
Determine whether new strategies for wealth transfer may need to be implemented.
