About The Event

Please join us for this two-part program that will help you understand why and how providing guidance on P&C and Commercial Insurance can help you and your clients.

Part I: Clients – especially affluent clients – of financial planners and advisors often have inadequate property and casualty (P&C) insurance, and frequently none at all in key areas. This exposes them to greater financial risk than they and often their advisors understand. This program addresses those risks and explains how financial advisors can provide P&C guidance and counseling, even if they are not insurance experts or sell such insurance. Several cases studies will be presented that illustrate how a P&C loss can derail a client’s financial plan. Part I presented by Aaron D. Hertsgaard, CAPI, Assistant Vice President, Strategic Partnerships Manager, New York and Northeast Regions, Chubb, and Michael W. Gardner, Personal Lines, Onecap Services, LLC.

Part II: This program covers the full range of commercial insurance policies that are designed and priced to address the loss exposures of organizations, including Commercial Property, Commercial Liability, Commercial Auto, Commercial Inland Marine, Commercial Crime, Workers’ Compensation, and Cyber & Privacy. Part II presented by Tim Dodge, AU, ARM, CPCU, Assistant Vice President of Research and Information, Big I New York, and George L. Goodman, CPCU, Agency Manager, Forbes Agency.

Learning Objectives:

1.    Educate advisors about commercial and P&C risks and generally about the types of insurance policies available for both types of risks in the marketplace.

2.    Proactively identify commercial and P&C risks for which their clients may be inadequately protected and have a good understanding of the comprehensive protection that may be needed to meet their clients’ unique insurance needs.
